Sail in Asia's Corporate Sailing Regatta is a challenging, competitive, highly enjoyable and engaging team building activity

A Corporate Sailing Regatta is perfect for your Executive team and also a reward for that high performing sales team

Our Corporate Sailing Regatta involves your group learning to sail our Platu Sports Boats and then racing them against each other by afternoon.

It is a suitable activity for medium sized groups of around 20-50 people. We provide you with a range of lovely Platu sports boats. Our well-qualified instructors and captains will ensure you a high quality regatta  on the water. This teambuilding is available in Phuket and we can do smaller events at Pattaya. These are two of Thailand’s best locations for sailing.

The video opposite shows a fleet of Platu Sports Boats and another fleet of Firefly catamarans. The cats are another choice of vessel that we can arrange for you to race. The boats we use are safe and fun. We teach the teams to sail in the morning and provide an afternoon of short races around the boys. Our event includes safety boats, race officer, start boats and of course medals and a beach BBQ. The Platus are ideal for a highly motivated competitive team. Call us to discuss your ideas with us and lets see if we can surpass your expectations, on and off the water.

There are a couple of reasons why your senior management team in particular will love a sailing regatta.

The competitive spirit of the team is harnessed in a fun environment and your managers see the staff who are quick learners, good communicatiors and of course great listeners. The teams that will win the races are probably the teams that are good at working together. We suggest you confer with us in planning this event. If you want the event filmed or videoed we can arrange it. Gourmet sandwich lunch or beach BBQ? The safety of all participants is paramount. We are a company that are dedicated to marine safety so our competion is risk assessed and well controlled.

There’s so much to learn, for example ‘points of sail’ (which direction the wind comes from and how to adjust the sails to catch the breeze) and how to set sails for maximum efficiency. At least a few of your team will want to know more and will start thinking about attending more courses or becoming involved in yacht racing on their return home (we can help there too as we do all levels of sail training!)
